My Practice

Description of my practice:

Although originally trained in conventional allopathic medicine, in 2000 I began a conversion to Integrative Medicine, incorporating several holistic healing modalities into my practice. I began with homeopathy, then added herbal medicine, nutrition, and then Bowenwork. Functional Medicine and Environmental Medicine were added in the 2010's. See my website for further details. In late 2021, I elected to begin practicing under the health freedom law,  focussing exclusively on natural and preventive healing modalities and ceasing to prescribe pharmaceuticals. Write, In December, 2021, elected to place my medical license on temporary inactive status until the climate for private practice was more conducive to my practice methods. Until I reactivate my license I will not be prescribing pharmaceuticals nor billing insurance companies.

Special populations:

I work with all age groups, but having trained in child psychiatry many years ago, I have a special interest in working holistically with children, both from a preventive end, and by using natural treatments, when indicated.

Message to prospective patients:

I believe in the main lessons taught by Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy:

1. The body is the healer; practitioners are merely the midwives to healing.

2. Achieving energetic balance or harmony within is the true goal of healthcare.

3. Removing obstacles to cure are essential in this process, including harmful lifestyle factors and environmental toxins, including chemicals, noxious foods and EMF.

4. The goal of health care is the restoration of good health, or cure, not palliation, although palliation is a worthy goal when cure is not possible.

5. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

6. The Hippocratic oath (Do No Harm) must always be honored. Safety is therefore the highest priority in my practice.

7. I have years of experience helping people to reduce or get off conventional medications, although I do not necessarily always recommend thi, and it is not always possible.

8.  Good health is not just a physical or psychological phenomenon; it also has energetic and psychospiritual dimensions.
